Extract - Cross-Report Analysis

Report Miner Suite's Extract can create a relational Microsoft Access database version of each Crystal Report processed by Extract. The Access database can then be directly queried (or can be used as a source for a Crystal Report) to perform cross-report analysis. For example, using the Microsoft Access database generated by Report Miner Suite's Extract, users can:

  • Determine all reports which use a specific database table
  • Determine all reports which use a specific database field
  • Determine all reports which have a particular formula field
  • Determine all reports which have a specific conditional formula
  • Determine all reports which have parameter fields
  • Determine all reports which have a texbox with a black border
  • Etc...

Report Miner Suite comes with several built-in reports which show examples of performing cross-report analysis against the generated Microsoft Access database. These sample reports can be accessed using the "Reports" menu on the main screen of Report Miner Suite. The sample reports included are:

  • Report List
  • Report Metrics
  • Report Table Cross-Ref
  • Report Column Cross-Ref
  • Report by Owner
